Kim Kardashian has accomplished a lot in her life, but her legal career was recently put on hold. Since then, a lot of fans and critics have been asking about what her plans were. In a recent share, Kim clapped back at these critics, all while poking a little fun at herself, too. She also had a special guest alongside her in the video.
Kim Kardashian Recently Shared A Promotional Video For Her Energy Drink, Update
Kim and her family are known for a variety of ventures. This includes reality shows like E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Hulu’s The Kardashians. Kim herself is also known as the founder of Skims, KKW Beauty, and KKW Fragrance.
In addition, fans have also followed Kim’s journey to pursue a legal career. While she has completed a four-year legal apprenticeship and even finished a law studies program, she has not yet passed the California bar exam.
Reportedly, she has decided to take a break from her budding legal career. According to Parade, sources shared that she would wait until at least 2027 to retake the bar exam.
Last year, Kim shared that she was often asked if she passed the exam in an Instagram Stories post. As she shared, “Well..I’m not a lawyer yet. I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.” This was a reference to Ryan Murphy’s legal drama series, All’s Fair. She continued, “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination.”

Since then, Kim recently poked fun at both her budding legal career and her critics in a recent campaign video for her new energy drink, Update. In a video shared on Instagram, the star shared, “People are always asking about all of the work I’ve gotten done. Not that type of work,” jokingly poking fun at plastic surgery.
Making a similar joke, Kim continued, “They always ask, ‘Kim, how do you do so much? Kim, how do you keep going? Kim, are they really real?’” She explained that her secret was “Just an update…Update formulated by a team of leading experts, none of whom are me.”
The clip then cuts to Kim as she appears to be seated in a chair next to a pile of papers, all inside a glass box within an art gallery. Museum patrons walk around, taking in the Kim-centered art. Famous attorney Gloria Allred enters and looks up at Kim. She asks, “Did she even ever pass the bar?”
However, Kim had a response of her own, with tongue firmly in cheek. As she quipped, “No, I didn’t pass the bar. I raised it.”
