Amid the rise of nepo babies, Madonna is letting her daughter do the grunt work it takes to rise up the ladder, even if it means partnering with an enemy.
The “Material Girl” songstress’ 20-year-old is said to be holding down a job with none other than Andy Cohen, with whom she has had a long-standing feud.
Madonna is a proud mother to six children comprising four daughters, Lourdes, 29, Mercy, 20, and twins Estere and Stella, 13, and two sons, Rocco, 25, and David, 20.
Chifundo Mercy James, whom Madonna adopted from Malawi, reportedly works on the set of Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live.”
Although her exact position remains unknown, sources claim she doesn’t behave like pop royalty in the workplace. “She is lovely, just the sweetest, most adorable girl,” an insider who saw the young adult in the studio weeks ago told The Daily Mail.
The news of Mercy’s job role was first revealed by her mother’s famous pal, Rosie O’Donnell, who recalled seeing Madonna’s daughter in the studio after Cohen pointed her out.
“And I was like, ‘Oh my God, what are you doing here?’ But she’s worked there for like a year or so. So I was very happy for her and proud of her,” she gushed.

Mercy’s position at “WWHL” undoubtedly raises eyebrows given her mother’s famous refusal to ever appear on Cohen’s late-night show.
However, it seems Madonna doesn’t let her industry squabble affect her children. O’Donnell on the “Hung Up” singer’s strict parenting style that has positively impacted her kids’ future in Hollywood.
“I have to say Madonna has done one hell of a job raising those children. She ran a very tight ship, and I had a very not tight ship,” the comedian confessed.
O’Donnell recalled to PEOPLE Magazine how Madonna’s eldest kids would visit for playdates and she would make them watch cartoons because the singer didn’t allow television.
“But she’s an amazing mother, and those kids are concert pianists and artists and singers. She is pretty phenomenal,” the talk show host gushed.

While Mercy’s Bravo gig doesn’t ruffle the Queen of Pop’s feathers, she still won’t agree to Cohen interviewing her on his beloved show.
Although Madonna has never discussed why, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” executive believes the pop icon is staying away because of the negative comments made about her on “WWHL” in the past.
“I think she sees me sitting there with the guest and I’m guilty by association,” Cohen explained of his theory.
Unfortunately, despite going the extra mile to ask his producers to create an embarrassing video of him sulking up to the 67-year-old, she just won’t budge.
Andy Cohen Remains An ‘Optimist’ About Madonna
Nevertheless, the radio host remains expectant that the legendary artist will change her mind at some point.
According to The Blast, earlier this year, Cohen shared his sentiment in an interview, hoping that the release of her 15th studio album will pave the way.
“We’re in year 16. They picked us up for two more. So look, she’s got ‘Confessions’ coming out this year and, you know, I’m an optimist,” he shared.
His hope remains steadfast even though the seven-time Grammy winner once called him out on her Celebration tour, calling Cohen, who was in attendance, “a little troublemaking queen.”
