Fans Previously Saw The Debut Of Marshals‘ First Season Back In March
Marshals is a spin-off of the Yellowstone franchise, serving as a spin-off and sequel to its namesake series, which ran from 2018 to 2024. The fourth series in the franchise, it stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton.
The series follows Kayce as he joins a group of specialized U.S. Marshals who protect Montana. Meanwhile, dealing with the death of his wife Monica, he also adjusts to raising his son, Tate, as a single parent.
The spin-off made its debut back in March and wrapped up on May 24, 2026, with the season finale, “Wolves at the Door.” Since then, fans have been waiting for an update on new episodes.
According to a recent post on the show’s Instagram account, fans won’t have to wait too long for a second season of the show. A caption read, “Back in the saddle October 4. Season 2 of Marshals kicks off CBS Premiere Week this fall.”

The two-part post opened up with a photo of a hat hanging on the wall, possibly symbolizing the break the show has been on in between the seasons. The second image boldly showed off the return date in the form of a lighting fixture on the wall, hanging right above the series’ logo.
Meanwhile, Marshals‘ sister series, Dutton Ranch, has also been renewed for a second seaon. However, the official return date hasn’t officially been announced.
With the news coming out, fans have been sharing their reactions to seeing more of the show. With the fall season right around the corner, many were happy that they wouldn’t have to wait long for a new season. Some comments included:
