Bill Maher has spoken with a number of guests throughout the years. Recently, he sat down with Hunter Biden. During the conversation, he got very direct concerning a scandal Hunter was at the heart of. He also had a certain question for Hunter.
Bill Maher Noted That He’s Seen & Heard A Lot Concerning Hunter Biden On His Real Time Show
Hunter is the second son of former president Joe Biden and is himself a disbarred former attorney. Back in October 2020, The New York Post published an article about a laptop belonging to Hunter, alleging that it showed corruption by Hunter’s father three weeks before the 2020 election.
Hunter was later convicted of three federal firearms-related felony charges in June 2024. By December of that year, his father pardoned him for all offenses between 2014 and 2024, and he was disbarred the following year. This past Friday, Hunter appeared as a guest on an episode of Real Time With Bill Maher.
During the episode, Maher was upfront about the laptop story. As he shared, “Your obituary, the third word will be ‘laptop.’ I know everything about the laptop, more things than I want to know. I’ve seen you with your d*** out. I’ve seen you with a crack pipe in your mouth.”
Hunter Admitted He Apologized To His Father ‘Every Day’ For His Past Actions
It was then that Maher asked Hunter a certain question: “My question: Are you running for president?” Hunter then joked, “I’m here to announce… No, I haven’t. Here’s my thing: If I announce for president, then someone should check to see if I relapsed.”
Earlier in the conversation, Hunter also shared that he apologized to his father “every day” for his mistakes. He claimed, “It’s one of the greatest heartaches of my life. No matter what, he would be there for me. But it doesn’t make up for the fact that every night, he had to go to sleep when I was in that state and wonder whether or not I was alive, just after losing Beau.” Hunter’s brother, Beau, passed away in 2015, after battling glioblastoma.
During the conversation, Hunter also shared that he had been sober for around seven years. He added, “As the addict, you gotta go, and you gotta make amends as much as you can. And sometimes, the greatest amend that you can make is just living life by doing the next right thing. That’s what I hope I’m doing right now.”
