Former Love After Lockup cast member Michael Simmons has been arrested once again and is being held without bond. So, what is he being charged with this time around, and what are his chances of being released? Keep reading for the details that are currently known regarding the situation.
Michael Simmons Behind Bars
This season of Love After Lockup may be over, but one former cast member from back in the day is still making waves. Michael Simmons is constantly getting arrested, and it seems like he will never learn his lesson. It is a sad tale, and one would hope that there would be a better outcome, but sadly, that has not happened. Michael was spotted on the streets, appearing to be homeless, which was devastating. No matter what anyone thought of him, it should not have come to this. Early in 2026, he allegedly stole credit cards from a mail truck.
He tried to use these cards at a gas station and a Pizza Hut before he was caught. On August 7th, this caught up with him, as he was arrested for that incident. Another was from 2024 for driving with a suspended license and expired registration. He had a court date, but he did not show up; therefore, there was a warrant. Additionally, he failed to appear for another court date, so there were a total of 4 warrants. Finally, he stole a phone from AT&T in March, so he has a lot of strikes against him.
The Love After Lockup alum has a trial date set for September 29th. It appears he will be locked up until then. He is being held in the Miami-Dade Jail, and interestingly enough, fans of the show still have hope for him.
Not Losing Faith
Despite everything that Michael Simmons has gone through and done, Love After Lockup fans will not give up hope. They believe that Michael is capable of so much more and truly hope that he gets the help that he needs. However, he has gone to the dark side so many times that it is hard to see the light beyond the trees:
- I really pray he gets help and has a good comeback
- To see him like this is super sad… I know everyone makes choices but to have seen him on TV to now here is 😮… Hope he gets help…he looks so lost😔…JS
- he clearly needs help.. It probably better him to be in there then out in the streets. 🙏🏽
- He needs to sit and detox
Hopefully, Michael Simmons gets the help that he needs and sees that he does have people who care for him.
