Preview for Hull City v Manchester United
Manchester United will begin their 2026-27 Premier League campaign with a trip to newly-promoted Hull City on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers are back in the top flight for the first time since 2016-17, while Manchester United finished third last season and will also return to the Champions League this term.
Sergej Jakirovic’s side have brought in 11 new players, with Nobel Mendy arriving from Rayo Vallecano among the most notable additions.
Hull have won just three of their last 18 meetings with Manchester United in all competitions, although their most recent Premier League meeting ended 0-0 in February 2017.
Manchester United, meanwhile, enter the new campaign after a mixed pre-season.

Michael Carrick’s side beat Rosenborg, Atletico Madrid and Leeds United, while also drawing with Paris Saint-Germain, but they ended their preparations with a 4-2 defeat to AC Milan.
The Red Devils have strengthened their squad with the additions of Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow, while Carlos Baleba is also expected to arrive before the transfer window closes.
