Gypsy Rose Blanchard believed that she would be better received upon her release from prison in December 2023. There were mixed reactions, but she did well enough to get her own series and a book. Unfortunately, she got too big for her britches and has essentially gotten herself canceled. Now, the thirty-five-year-old is in hot water all over again as tapes of her making racist remarks have come out. Keep reading for more on what she had to say.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Spurts Racist Remarks
Growing up as a victim of Munchausen by proxy was not easy by any means for Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Her mother, Dee Dee, essentially made her think that she was chronically ill when she was not. Gypsy’s life was turned upside down, and then she met Nick Godejohn online, and they forged a romance. He ultimately helped carry out Gypsy’s plan to murder her mother, and he is still behind bars. Gypsy served around eight years before she was freed, and many felt that she had paid enough by being tortured by her mother.
While she was locked up, Gypsy met and married Ryan Anderson. One of her conversations has since been leaked in which they discussed her sister, Mia Blanchard’s, then-boyfriend, Andre. In the chat, they used racial slurs toward him and discussed how Mia had a penchant for black men. Followers have grown sick and tired of Gypsy and her behavior, as they feel that she has played the world. Although they are not disputing that she suffered at the hands of her mother, there are questions if she is just as bad and is a manipulator as well.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard has released an apology in which she claimed that she “used racist language and made cruel, disrespectful comments, including about people I love.” She added:
“What I said was wrong. The words were racist, and I take full responsibility for saying them. There is no excuse for the language or the pain it’s caused.”
It does not seem to matter, as the damage has been done and the words are out in the world for all to hear.
Not A Good Look
Many attempted to have empathy toward Gypsy Rose Blanchard, but that has since faded. Once this racist rant was released, followers immediately spoke up and out. However, it was not that much of a surprise that Gypsy was so cold and cruel:
- They always come for us unprovoked then apologize later…. Odd behavior 😂
- Normalize not accepting apologies from white peoples who know what they’re doing
- Yall make the wrong people famous and be so shocked when you see their true colors
- Mind you a large portion off people supporting her release were black 🤫 They always apologize after there caught tho
One person noted that Gypsy’s ex-husband, who was on the call with her, is a teacher. Therefore, they wanted to know what school he was at because this is unacceptable behavior.
