Will Andy Cohen be competing on Dancing with the Stars in the near future? He loves to be a showman and tries pretty much anything that comes his way. So, will he be competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy? Keep reading for more on what Andy had to say.
Andy Cohen Is No Stranger To Performing
Before Andy Cohen was on Bravo, he had bit parts on Sex and the City. Being friends with the EP and series star Sarah Jessica Parker had its benefits. Therefore, he appeared in two episodes. Andy could briefly be seen in an episode in Season 4, and then he appeared as a shoe salesman in Season 6. Of course, his life changed when he essentially became the face of Bravo, working as the executive producer of the Real Housewives shows. He also hosted reunions and helmed Watch What Happens Live. Yet, is he about to put on his dancing shoes?
Season 35 of DWTS is going to be announced on September 2nd, but names are starting to come out. In the past, several Housewives have danced their way into viewers’ hearts, such as Lisa Rinna, Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Jayne, Kenya Moore, and Phaedra Parks. So, having Andy Cohen would be epic. However, he regretfully informed his fans that this will not happen, despite how much everyone would like it. Yes, he has been offered the chance, but he knows it is not a good idea:
“I can’t dance on TV. No one wants to see that.”
Although he admitted that he used to be able to have fun with dancing, fans go to Grateful Dead concerts and now mock his moves. Andy Cohen noted that “people film me dancing. Then I get made fun of on TikTok.” So, as of now, DWTS will remain a good show to watch and not be on.
Mocking Andy
On New Year’s Eve, Anderson Cooper had a field day mocking Andy Cohen over his dance moves. He played Andy swaying at The Sphere, and it went on for a very long time. Fans loved seeing Andy let loose and felt Anderson could benefit from doing the same:
- Dead head dancing all the way Andy!!!! Try it Anderson, I swear it would be fun
- Andy’s dancing is EVERYTHING
- Rock on, Andy! Have fun at concerts- that why we go to them!!!
Andy Cohen does let loose and enjoy his concert time, but it is understandable that he would not want to be poked fun at every week. Would you like to see him on DWTS, and who would you want to see him paired up with? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
