The Saskatchewan Roughriders will have five different starters in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Toronto Argonauts. The team published its official depth chart on Friday.

Shemar Bridges, who signed with the team this past week after being cut by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, will start at boundary wideout. The 28-year-old had his best season in 2024 when he made 83 catches for 933 yards and four touchdowns to be named All-East Division and the East Division’s nominee for Most Outstanding Rookie.

D’Sean Mimbs and Daniel Wiebe will also both start in the receiving corps this week. Mimbs was most recently on the reserve roster, while Wiebe dressed in a depth role and handled return duties.

Mimbs has made 11 receptions for 125 yards over eight regular-season games in 2026, while Wiebe has caught three passes for 57 yards and one touchdown.

Dylan Djete, who started at boundary wideout for Saskatchewan’s last three games, has been moved to a depth role behind Wiebe at field-side wideout. The second-round 2026 CFL Draft pick has recorded 11 catches for 108 yards and one touchdown as a rookie.

The changes in the receiving corps were prompted by injuries to Samuel Emilus and Johnny Johnson. Emilus (leg) has been placed on the six-game injured list, while Johnson (head) is now on the one-game injured list.

Zack Fry has retaken the starting job at left guard. Erik Andersen started the team’s last three games, two of which Fry missed due to injury. Fry returned to the lineup last week, but dressed behind Andersen in a depth role.

Saskatchewan will also have two new starters on defence, as Seyi Oladipo Jr. will start at strong-side linebacker and James Burgess Jr. will start at field-side cornerback.

Oladipo Jr. has dressed for three regular-season games as a rookie this year, making two special teams tackles. The Boise State product will be making his first career CFL start.

Antoine Brooks Jr., who did not appear on the injury report this week, has been moved to the reserve roster. He has made 57 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble over 10 starts this season.

Burgess Jr. was released by the Roughriders following training camp, but rejoined the team in June. He played four collegiate seasons at Alabama State, collecting 94 total tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, 21 pass breakups, and six interceptions over 40 games.

Nelson Lokombo, who started the last three games at field-side cornerback, will start at safety this week, as Jaxon Ford (ankle) has been moved to the one-game injured list.

The Roughriders have made one other roster swap, as American defensive lineman Devin Adams has been moved to the practice roster, and Canadian defensive lineman Liam Hoskins has been promoted to the active roster.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-4) will host the Toronto Argonauts (5-5) at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday, August 29, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Argonauts are coming off a 39-20 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, while the Roughriders lost in Vancouver by a score of 30-16.

The weather forecast in Regina calls for a high of 26 degrees and sun. The game will be broadcast on TSN in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune in on TSN 1050 in Toronto or 620 CKRM in Regina.
