Alex Hall Addresses Selling Sunset Rumors After Selling the OC

Alex Hall has broken her silence after Selling the OC was put on pause after four seasons — and addressed whether she’d make the move to Selling Sunset instead.

“I haven’t done a podcast since the news came out that we’re not filming another season of Selling the OC, so that’s been quite the roller-coaster,” Alex, 37, said on the Tuesday, June 2, episode of her “Pretty Dirty” podcast. “[It’s] the end of an era. Honestly, I feel like season 4 was my best season. I feel like I looked the best and I kept my cool when I wanted to rip some people’s heads off. I matured.”

Selling the OC was a spinoff of Netflix’s Selling Sunset, following the Orange County branch of Jason and Brett Oppenheim’s luxury real estate brokerage. Selling Sunset, meanwhile, is set in Los Angeles and was recently renewed for season 10 after multiple cast exits. Alex, however, has no plans to switch from OC to Selling Sunset.

“There’s so many articles coming out about me doing Selling Sunset, which is hilarious,” she said on Tuesday. “I have no idea. …  I feel like nobody really knew what was going on [and] who the cast was actually going to be.”

Alex Hall and Fiona Belle aren’t sure what the future holds with Netflix’s hit reality show Selling the OC. “Honestly, we don’t even really know. We know that we’re not filming season 5 right now,” Alex, 37, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while attending the 2026 Revolve Festival in Indio, California, on Saturday, April 11. […]

With a “whole new cast” of Selling Sunset in development, Alex acknowledged that it would make sense to film a potential cameo.

“I have a lot of clients that are moving down from L.A. to Orange County, so me referring [them] out to agents in L.A. is kind of annoying,” she said. “Me going there selling just makes sense, but also nothing’s been signed, FYI. I have not agreed to go on Selling Sunset. This was literally a very brief conversation, and you don’t know what to expect when it’s a whole new cast.”

While Alex is already friendly with Selling Sunset stars Heather Rae El Moussa, Bre Tiesi and returning fan favorite Christine Quinn, the potential chance to join them on screen is still daunting.

“When you’re the OG, you feel more confident,” Alex said. “That’s kind of terrifying to think about going to Sunset. … Some people are very different when you film with them versus what you’ve experienced in real life.”

Alex’s OC colleague Fiona Belle, for her part, thought that Alex would effortlessly fit in on the original series.

“I feel like you would kill it,” Fiona, 24, chimed in on Tuesday. “You’re just so authentically you and direct, like, they need some of that energy in there.”

Alex, however, wasn’t quite sure about Fiona’s prediction.

“I feel like L.A. is uncharted territory, like, the audience is different,” Alex speculated. “I feel like I could get eaten alive. Season 1, 1, 2 and 4 for OC was such a roller-coaster for me, so I don’t know. Also, being here in Orange County and building my real estate and trying to get a team to work under me [is] something that I really want to try to start doing. I don’t think I would have time to [get] clients in L.A., filming in L.A., [managing] clients here, building a team, getting people under me to grow the business.”
