Ruben Studdard has been sharing his journey with fans over the years, ever since he won the second season of American Idol. Recently, he showed off a new figure while appearing alongside a sitcom star. This also came out as they were promoting a new project.
American Idol‘s Ruben Studdard Joined The Biggest Loser In 2013
Studdard became known to many after winning the second season of American Idol. Since then, he has pursued a career as a musician and an actor.
Studdard made his Broadway debut in 2018. He also notably starred as Fats Waller in a national tour revival of Ain’t Misbehavin’.
Over the years, Studdard has shared a health journey with fans. In 2013, he appeared as a contestant on Season 15 of The Biggest Loser, a show dedicated to weight loss. As reality show fans know, he weighed around 462 pounds when he first appeared. However, he ultimately dropped around 120 pounds.
Recently, Studdard appeared alongside a classic sitcom star. This was Erin Murphy, who famously played the little witch Tabitha on the 1960s series, Bewitched. Erin originally shared the role with her twin sister, Diane, before Erin took over the role.
Studdard & Erin Murphy Were Set To Appear In Great American Road Rally
On Instagram, Erin shared a photo of her and Studdard in a car together, on their way to give back. At the time, she shared, “Heading to the Boys & Girls Club with American Idol winner Ruben Studdard! We had the best conversation. His favorite Bewitched character is Endora. Great American Road Rally, coming to the CW Network this fall.”
Set to premiere this September, Great American Road Rally will host 20 celebrities splitting into 10 teams driving along Route 66 for charity. Studdard and Murphy are both attached to appear.
Studdard looked svelte during the appearance, where he could be seen wearing sunglasses and a Boys & Girls Club T-shirt. Fans commended the American Idol winner as he flaunted his figure. Of course, others were simply happy to see him. Some comments included:
