Some America’s Got Talent auditions are nothing short of golden.

Season 21 of NBC’s hit reality show returned on June 2, 2026 with judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Mel B and Howie Mandel ready to critique everyone from singers and dance groups to magicians and comedians.

This summer, the judges — alongside host Terry Crews — have the opportunity to once again press the Golden Buzzer if they want one contestant to automatically advance further into the competition.

All summer long, Us Weekly is keeping track of the inspiring Golden Buzzer auditions. Keep reading to see all the must-see moments and make sure to watch America’s Got Talent on NBC Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

    Lai Noelle

At just 14 years old, the Texas native admitted to feeling scared before taking the stage.

“I believe I was more ready this year. I definitely got better at my performances and being more confident in myself,” she told the judges on June 2, 2026. “I’m excited and nervous.”

As soon as she began performing a rendition of Sienna Spiro’s “Die On This Hill,” Lai wowed the audience and judges with a voice that sounded years beyond her age.

“Words aren’t necessary,” Simon said before pressing the Golden Buzzer.

    Acro Crew

During the season 21 premiere, a Canadian dance crew — made up of girls aged 7 to 21 — caught the attention of the judges when they performed with a variety of dogs.

“It’s my two favorite acts: dance and dogs,” Sofía proclaimed. “I wasn’t expecting this. It was too much for me. It was the perfect idea to come to AGT. Thank you.”

Ultimately, it was Terry who used his golden buzzer to make sure the dance group advanced into the competition.

“I have never ever seen anything like this in my life,” he shared.

    Luke Taleno

Last year, the Cuban native was an audience member for America’s Got Talent and promised Simon he was going to get a golden buzzer.

Fast-forward to June 2, 2026, when the Florida resident appeared on stage to deliver an original rap called “Seat to Stage.”

“From surviving cancer to chasing a dream to rapping in the streets in Miami Beach, I’m here for a reason,” Luke shared with the judges. “Everything in my life prepared me for this moment right now.”

After receiving a standing ovation, Luke heard an unforgettable message from Howie.

“You are truly an image of what I believe authenticity is,” he said in his critique. “Last year, you predicted something and I just have one question: How did you know?”

    Lara D

Before singing a rendition of RAYE’s “Oscar Winning Tears,” the Australian native explained why she wanted to be part of America’s Got Talent.

“I feel like this is one of the biggest stages,” Lara explained. “I decided I wanted to come because I wanted to pursue my dream and I feel like this is where all dreams come true.”

After wowing the judges with her voice, Lara received a golden buzzer from Sofía — with an assist from Howie.

“I’ve been looking for something unexpected,” he shared. “You are a star, and I want to do something special. You deserve this.”

After competing on season 17 of America’s Got Talent, the South Korean native returned to NBC’s show for an even bigger (and more magical) act.

His performance received a standing ovation from the judges and had Terry running to the table in hopes of pressing the golden buzzer.

Ultimately, Howie beat him to the punch and ensured the magical act advanced into the competition.
