TORONTO — The BC Lions are the league’s hottest team, winning their last four contests.

They’ve started to climb up the CFL standings and the Power Rankings. But will it continue in Week 13?

Where do the rest of the teams stand in this week’s AMSOIL Power Rankings?

    1. Montreal Alouettes

    Last week: 1
Last game: 46-16 win over Ottawa
Next game: at Winnipeg, August 28

Worth noting: Another win, another week sitting at the top of the AMSOIL Power Rankings. We usually shine a light on Davis Alexander, Tyson Philpot and Travis Theis here, but defensive back Kabion Ento also deserves some of the spotlight. He ripped the ball from holder Noah Gettman on an Ottawa field goal attempt that led to a Terry Wilson short yardage touchdown and scored a pick-six for the Als in their win. With both sides of the ball clicking, Montreal stays in firm control of the rankings.

    2. Edmonton Elks

    Last week: 2
Last game: 22-19 win over Winnipeg

Next game: at Calgary, September 7

Worth noting: Edmonton’s Week 12 contest was truly the tale of two halves. The Blue Bombers dominated the Elks in the first 30 minutes, but the final 30 were all Green and Gold. The Elks had a big second half that led to Vincent Blanchard’s second game-winning, walk-off field goal of the season. At 8-3, Mark Kilam’s group can head comfortably into their Week 13 bye before returning on OK Tire Labour Day Weekend to take on Calgary.

    3. BC Lions

    Last week: 4
Last game: 30-16 win over Saskatchewan

Next game: at Ottawa, August 30

Worth noting: Don’t look now, but the BC Lions are streaking. Nathan Rourke and the Leos won their fourth consecutive game last week, taking down the reigning Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders. After a slow start to the season, the defence has started to shut the door and Rourke and his offence have been clicking through the air and on the ground with the combination of Zander Horvath and James Butler. With a meeting in the nation’s capital with the winless REDBLACKS, the Lions have a chance to move above .500 for the first time this season.

    4. Saskatchewan Roughriders

    Last week: 3
Last game: 30-16 loss to BC

Next game: vs. Toronto, August 29

Worth noting: After suffering their second straight loss, the Saskatchewan Roughriders drop one spot in the Power Rankings. The Riders turned the ball over four times, including Trevor Harris throwing two interceptions in the contest. With the Toronto Argonauts coming to Mosaic Stadium, Corey Mace’s team will hope to get a win to keep the separation between them and the Lions in the West.

    5. Calgary Stampeders

    Last week: 5
Last game: 30-26 loss to BC

Next game: vs. Hamilton, August 29

Worth noting: Calgary returns from a Week 12 bye with some questions surrounding the health of two of its offensive stars. Both Vernon Adams Jr. and Dedrick Mills left Week 11’s contest with injuries and their statuses are unknown at the time of this writing. Calgary is in last place in the West but is just two points behind both Winnipeg and BC. With or without Adams Jr. and Mills, Calgary will be itching for a win to try to catch them this weekend against Hamilton.

    2. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (13-4)

    6. Winnipeg Blue Bombers

    Last week: 6
Last game: 22-19 loss to Edmonton

Next game: vs. Montreal, August 28

Worth noting: Winnipeg dominated the first half of their game against the Edmonton Elks on the weekend, leading 16-6 before the Green and Gold took over in the second half. Brady Oliveira eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark for the third time in four games, tallying 118 on 16 carries. With the bruising running back settling in for the second half of the season, Winnipeg has one of its toughest tasks yet: a meeting with the 9-1 Montreal Alouettes. Can they take down the league’s top team and start to climb the standings and these rankings?

    7. Toronto Argonauts

    Last week: 8
Last game: 39-20 win over Hamilton

Next game: at Saskatchewan, August 29

Worth noting: The Toronto Argonauts defeated their rival Tiger-Cats on Saturday night to move to 5-5 on the season and up one spot in the Power Rankings. The defence dug in in the second half, only allowing three points by the Ticats and tallying a forced fumble and two turnovers on downs in the fourth quarter. Now, they hope momentum is on their side as they head to Saskatchewan to take on the Roughriders.

    8. Hamilton Tiger-Cats

    Last week: 7
Last game: 39-20 loss to Toronto

Next game: at Calgary, August 29

Worth noting: The Hamilton Tiger-Cats were handed their seventh loss of the season last week, falling to the Toronto Argonauts and dropping one spot in the Power Rankings. Tre Ford threw for 356 yards and no touchdowns, while completing 59.4 per cent of his passes in his team’s loss. The Tiger-Cats will look to get back in the win column when they head west to take on the Calgary Stampeders.

    9. Ottawa REDBLACKS

    Last week: 9
Last game: 46-16 loss to Montreal

Next game: vs. BC, August 30

Worth noting: The Ottawa REDBLACKS lost their 10th game of 2026 last week against the East Division’s hottest team, the Montreal Alouettes. This week won’t get any easier for Ryan Dinwiddie’s group as they welcome the streaking BC Lions to TD Place Stadium.
