Dannielynn Birkhead & Her Father Larry Were Recently Spotted While Attending The 2026 Kentucky Derby
Dannielynn is the daughter of photographer Larry Birkhead and the late Anna Nicole Smith. Smith, who passed away in 2007, was known for her work as a model and television personality, starring in her namesake series, The Anna Nicole Smith Show.
On March 1, Dannielynn and her father attended the 2026 Kentucky Derby, which is known to be an annual event for the two. At the event, she ended up showing off a striking new look.
Dannielynn donned a Punk Rave’s Gothic dress that combined an embroidered, strapless corseted gown with a sheer skirt. However, what really made a statement was her hair. Kept in a short style, Dannielynn was seen with platinum blonde hair with black tips.
Dannielynn Was Able To Achieve Her New Look With The Help Of A Certain Family Friend
Speaking with People, Larry shared that his daughter had told him that “she wanted something edgy and cool.” She reportedly crafted the new look with the help of a hairstylist friend of her mother’s.
Larry continued, “She chopped it all off and put some wild colors in it. I was kind of bracing myself at the hair salon. I guess she’s at the age to do what she wants to do.” While initially being “worried” about the new look, Larry felt that his daughter was old enough to make decisions about her appearance.
Larry also shared that the look was quite a departure from her regular look. He shared, “This year is a different style for Dannielynn. People [are] always looking for her to wear something of her mom. And she’s done that a couple times, but this is kind of Dannielynn showing off her own sense of style, and she said it’s a goth rock theme.”
Dannielynn also reportedly helped her father with his look at the event. This included a crystal-embellished black blazer decorated with lightning bolts from Philipp Plein. As Larry mused, “She said I needed to up my fashion game. That I had no sense of style. And so she was determined to pick my outfit out.”
