Blake Shelton Skips Gwen Stefani’s Huge Event
Blake Shelton left The Voice in 2023 to spend more time with his wife and refocus on his career. The NBC singing competition played a special role in their romance. They met on the reality show in 2014, and a friendship formed over their respective divorces. Friendship quickly blossomed into romance.
But in one recent instance, he put his career ahead of his wife. The country singer headlined a Las Vegas residency in January. The shows were so successful that he returned for a few more weeks in May.
His wife, Gwen Stefani, was in Las Vegas at the same time for a huge event of her own. She reunited with No Doubt for a bunch of shows at The Sphere. Both shows kicked off on May 6. Blake Shelton couldn’t attend his wife’s event for weeks, even though it was across town. He blamed his manager for the scheduling conflict.
Finally Attends Wife’s Big Show, Shares Stunned Reaction
Blake Shelton skipping his wife’s major career event sparked rumors of a split. The couple, who married in 2021, have been at the center of divorce rumors since they said, “I do.” He put the rumors to bed for now by finally attending his wife’s big show.
His Las Vegas residency wrapped up on May 24. One of the first things he did was attend No Doubt’s concert at The Sphere. It took him nearly three weeks, but he made it. He took to Instagram to share his reaction.
“So proud of my wife @gwenstefani and the @nodoubt guys for working their a**es off and putting on this hell of a show.. finally got a night off to see it.. Un-freakin-real,” he wrote on a post that included clips from the show.
Gwen Stefani gave her husband a shout-out from the stage and later gifted him with a green No Doubt jacket, which he can be seen wearing in the video. His followers took to the comments to rib him about taking so long to see his wife’s show.
