Chloe Fineman‘s departure from “Saturday Night Live” has drawn attention to both her seven-season run on the show and claims about her relationships with fellow cast members.

Following her announcement of her exit, a source close to the show alleged that she did not always connect with everyone behind the scenes; however, another dismissed the claims as untrue.

The discussion comes as Chloe Fineman reflects on her time at “SNL” and prepares for the next chapter of her career after leaving the long-running NBC comedy series.

Fineman may have built lasting friendships during her seven-year run on “Saturday Night Live,” but sources suggest her relationships behind the scenes were not all great.

Following the comedian’s announcement that she would be leaving the long-running NBC sketch series, an insider claimed that while Fineman was well-liked by some colleagues, she occasionally struggled to connect with everyone on the cast.

“Chloe could rub people the wrong way at times,” the insider told Page Six. “She got along really well with some cast members, but not everyone clicked with her.”

According to the source, certain cast members felt Fineman expected others to be flexible around her preferences and schedule. The insider emphasized, however, that any tension was relatively minor and did not escalate into major disputes or ongoing conflicts.

A separate source familiar with the situation pushed back on those claims, insisting there was “no truth” to suggestions that Fineman had difficulties with fellow cast members.

The reports surfaced just after Fineman revealed her departure from “SNL” in an emotional Instagram post.

Sharing a carousel of photos from her time on the show, she reflected on what she described as one of the greatest privileges of her career.

Fineman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside some of the entertainment industry’s most talented performers and creators, saying she felt fortunate to learn from them throughout her seven seasons on the program.

The comedian also looked back on the intense emotions that come with producing live sketch comedy each week.

“I’m definitely not the first to make this observation, but it really is funny looking back at it all now, because at the show you get so invested in everything you work on,” she wrote. “You sob uncontrollably when your sketch isn’t picked. You storm into a producer’s office telling them they just made the biggest mistake of their lives. You call everyone you know to complain. And then you look back a few years later, and it was a sketch called ‘lipstick for thicc dogs.’”

Her farewell announcement quickly drew supportive messages from current and former cast members. Marcello Hernandez praised her accomplishments, while comedian Ben Marshall referred to her as an “SNL legend.” Former cast member Ego Nwodim also congratulated Fineman and celebrated her next chapter.

Fineman’s exit also comes amid reports that she recently secured a role in David E. Kelley’s upcoming Netflix drama “Myron Bolitar,” an offer that reportedly played a major role in her decision to leave the sketch show.

Industry insiders said the opportunity came together quickly, forcing Fineman to make a difficult choice about her future.

“Chloe went back and forth, but it was a smart move — she knew she couldn’t say no,” an industry insider said. “After seven seasons on the show, and with all the new faces, it was probably the best move for her.”

Fineman began her “Saturday Night Live” journey as a featured player during the 2019–20 season, a period that was later heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

She quickly gained attention during the show’s remotely produced episodes in 2020, where her self-recorded sketches highlighted her talent for celebrity impressions, a skill that soon became one of her defining trademarks on the series.

Over the years, she became known for portraying a wide range of public figures, including Anna Delvey, Drew Barrymore, Britney Spears, JoJo Siwa, Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Phoebe Dynevor, Nicole Kidman, and even fellow “SNL” star Kate McKinnon.

Chloe Fineman Starred In Several Fan-Favorite ‘SNL’ Sketches

Beyond her celebrity impressions, Fineman appeared in several fan-favorite sketches that gained significant attention online,

Some of her best include “Snack Homiez,” “Forever 31,” “Maybelline,” and the popular Domingo sketches alongside Marcello Hernandez.

While balancing her duties on “SNL,” she also expanded her career into film and voice acting.

Her credits include voice roles in Netflix’s “Big Mouth” and “Despicable Me 4,” as well as on-screen appearances in projects such as “Laid,” “Freakier Friday,” and Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis.”
