Chris Pratt teed off at the Memorial Pro-Am on Wednesday at Muirfield Village Golf Club, the Jack Nicklaus-designed course in Dublin, Ohio. His playing group included PGA Tour star Jordan Spieth and actor Rob Lowe. Rob’s son Johnny Lowe and touring professional Aaron Rai completed the foursome.
Pratt posted about the round on Instagram, listing each of his partners by name. “Played @jacknicklaus course at the Memorial Pro-Am today with Aaron Rai, @roblowe, @johnnylowe, and legend @jordanspieth!!” he wrote. He added one more line at the end: “Hole in one round 2?!”
That question is still open. Pratt did not confirm or deny making the shot, and no follow-up post had addressed it as of Wednesday evening.
A hole in one is a rare achievement at any level of the game. On a course of Muirfield Village’s caliber, designed by Jack Nicklaus as one of his signature works, the accomplishment would be particularly noteworthy.
The Memorial Tournament is one of the most respected events on the PGA Tour calendar. Nicklaus opened Muirfield Village in 1974, and the course has hosted the tournament every year since. The Pro-Am format pairs touring professionals with amateur participants. It draws celebrities, executives, and prominent figures from outside the sport each spring.
Jordan Spieth is one of the most accomplished players of his era. He won the Masters and the U.S. Open in 2015, then added The Open Championship in 2017. All three major titles came before his 24th birthday. Spieth remains a consistent presence on Tour and is widely regarded as an attentive and generous playing partner at pro-am events.
Rob Lowe is a well-established figure in both entertainment and celebrity golf circles. He and Pratt share a professional history through Parks and Recreation. The NBC comedy ran from 2009 to 2015. Lowe played Chris Traeger, Pawnee’s perpetually enthusiastic city manager. Pratt played Andy Dwyer across all seven seasons of the show. Parks and Recreation ended over a decade ago, but Wednesday’s round offered a different kind of shared professional moment for the two.
Pratt’s film career has kept him among the more recognizable names in Hollywood. His credits include the Guardians of the Galaxy series and the Jurassic World franchise. The Memorial Pro-Am represented a distinct change of setting.
Johnny Lowe, Rob’s son, completed the group alongside Rai.
The hole-in-one question remains unresolved. Confirmation would add a notable coda to an already strong day at one of the sport’s most distinguished venues. The Memorial Tournament continues through Sunday at Muirfield Village.
