Shields also referenced her 2021 MMA fight, saying she competed shortly after having stitches removed and felt unfairly criticized for the outcome. She also questioned MVP’s branding around women’s boxing, criticized how the organization promotes and labels fighters, and threw shots at Jake Paul’s boxing record and public persona.
“Why people lying on me saying I made fun of someone who had a brain bleed, let’s talk about [Jake Paul] celebrating me losing a split decision mma fight while I had a concussion fighting! literally had 8 stitches taken out of my head 2 weeks before this fight!
