Manchester City will hope to cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League to three points with victory at Everton.

Pep Guardiola’s men have not played a league game since their 1-0 victory at Burnley on April 22, which took them top of the table on goals scored.

Arsenal have done their job in rebuilding an advantage since, with wins over Newcastle United and Fulham piling the pressure on City.

This game brings City’s first visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but they have an excellent record at Everton under Guardiola and face a Toffees side without a win in three.

Everton will be hoping to end that run and boost their hopes European football next season, having lost each of their last two game to 90th-minute goals.

101GreatGoals has the full team news from Merseyside.

    Everton team news

David Moyes makes two changes from the team that suffered a last-gasp defeat to West Ham.

Tim Iroegbunam and Merlin Rohl come into the XI. Idrissa Gana Gueye is not in the squad, while Dwight McNeil drops to the bench.

Everton: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Iroegbunam, Garner; Rohl, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Beto.

Everton substitutes: Travers, Patterson, McNeil, Barry, George, Dibling, Coleman, Alcaraz, Armstrong.

    Manchester City team news

City make eight changes from the side that edged to a 2-1 win over Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final nine days ago.

Nico Gonzalez, who scored a stunning winning goal in that game, retains his place in midfield with Rodri still out with a groin problem.

Matheus Nunes and Rayan Cherki are the only other players to keep their place.

Bernardo Silva makes his 300th appearance for City.

Manchester City: Donnarumma, Nunes, Khusanov, Guéhi, O’Reilly, Nico, Bernardo (C), Semenyo, Cherki, Doku, Haaland.

Manchester City substitutes: Trafford, Reijnders, Stones, Ake, Marmoush, Kovacic, Ait-Nouri, Savinho, Foden.
