Michael Roark recently joined Days of Our Lives as Jeremy Horton. However, he is soon set to make his departure. As fans have been sharing their reactions on social media, some are questioning the timing of his exit. Others feel that there could be a good reason for it.
Michael Roark Arrived In Salem When He Joined Days Of Our Lives In 2005
Roark previously appeared on The Young and the Restless. In 2016, he appeared on the soap as Travis Crawford.
Last year, fans saw Roark arrive in Salem as he joined the cast of Days of Our Lives. He took on the role of Jeremy Horton, who was most recently played by Trevor Donovan back in 2007.
However, Roark’s time in Salem is set to come to an end. His last appearance is set for April 29, as confirmed by Soap Opera Digest.
Exact details of the character’s exit remain under wraps. However, a weekly promo for the soap hints that Jeremy will have a conversation with Stephanie, who is married to Alex, in which he appears to lean in to give her a kiss. This suggests that the character’s exit could be caused by his misreading the situation.
As fans say, Jeremy previously returned to Salem, claiming to be a reformed man, after being revealed to have criminal connections since his last time in Salem, and working as a teacher. Following his return, he even reunited with some of his family members, including his father, Mike Horton.
Jeremy’s connection to his ex-girlfriend, Stephanie, has also been explored throughout his time. At one point, he was suspected of stalking her. However, the real culprit turned out to be Owen Kent, who later kidnapped both Jeremy and Stephanie.
For the time being, it’s believed that Roark’s contract was simply meant to be a temporary one, explaining the character’s departure. Outside of the soap, the actor also stars in The Black Dagger Brotherhood, which was recently renewed for a second season. Thanks to this, it’s likely he wouldn’t be available to continue as Jeremy otherwise.

Roark Is Set To Return To The Black Dagger Brotherhood
However, some fans have shared that they don’t like the timing of Roark’s exit as Jeremy. As a lot of fans felt, he is leaving just as the story is getting interesting.
Taking to X, various fans felt like there were other directions for Jeremy’s character to go. However, others noted that it appears that Roark is unavoidable.

On the other hand, as anything could happen on a soap, a few fans expressed the hope that Roark, or at least Jeremy, could eventually return to Salem. Some comments included:
- “I’m wondering why they are writing Jeremy out NOW when this is exactly when he’s needed. He and Stephanie have a legit connection, Alex will soon be preoccupied with his baby. This is the kind of stuff that writes itself.”
- “It does but I’m wondering if MR had a prior commitment that conflicted with this Days stint. He’s had several promotional gigs for The Black Dagger Brotherhood since filming Days ended so I’m curious if maybe that has something to do with it.”
- “Michael Roark out here doing the lords work.”
- “Facts. They need to bring him back. Why can’t we have nice things.”
- “He is. I’m just hoping they don’t kill off Jeremy and give MR an opportunity to come back.”
