Duck Dynasty Star Al Robertson Exposes Wife’s Infidelity
The extended Robertson family documented their duck call business on A&E’s Duck Dynasty for 11 seasons. They decided to end the show amid declining ratings. It last aired in 2017. However, the network revived the reality show in 2025 with Duck Dynasty: The Revival.
Al Robertson, the oldest son of Phil and Kay Robertson, appeared on the reality show, along with his wife, Lisa. The couple married in 1984, but their relationship was nearly ruined by infidelity. The Robertsons have been talking about the situation for years. They even released a self-help book, Desperate Forgiveness, in 2019 to help other couples deal with marriage struggles.
While Lisa Robertson’s affair 15 years into her marriage isn’t a huge secret, it’s making headlines again. The couple spoke to Fox News Digital this week and revealed how they overcame the incident.
“I didn’t want to hurt our family. [But] I didn’t think [our marriage] would make it. If he ever found out, I just knew that it was over,” Lisa Robertson said about the 1999 affair with an old flame. Her husband became suspicious and discovered the affair after going through her phone.
“I think for the first few weeks, I was leaning toward thinking that it was probably over. I was just not sure if I could ever fully trust again. [I wasn’t] sure Lisa really wanted to be in our marriage.”
Al Robertson admitted this about their separation immediately after he discovered his wife’s infidelity.
Lisa Robertson Reveals How She Won Husband Back
Lisa Robertson regretted the affair and how it almost ruined her marriage. However, she was determined to win her husband back. Lisa shared with Fox News the drastic changes she made to regain his trust.
“I changed the way I dressed. I changed the way I wore makeup. I changed what I listened to. I changed the way I approached men. I changed the way I talked because I had a potty mouth. I changed so many things.”
But most of all, the couple leaned on their faith in God to help them through the devastating situation. “I think out of my own appreciation for not only what God had done for me, but also what Lisa had done for me, it gave me that capacity to forgive infidelity,” Al Robertson said about forgiving his wife.
“Everything can be worked through… I think the reason I was willing to fight for my marriage was that I had made a lot of mistakes on my own,” the Duck Dynasty star added, admitting to cheating on his wife early in their marriage.
