The Anaheim Ducks will be retiring Ryan Getzlaf’s number 15.  The ceremony will take place on January 30, 2027 when the Ducks host the Nashville Predators at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California according to the Associated Press on Tuesday.

He was a +102 with 960 penalty minutes, 341 power-play points, 14 shorthanded points, 57 game-winning goals, 2559 shots on goal and two hat tricks. The first hat trick came in a 6-2 Ducks win over the Buffalo Sabres on November 8, 2013, and the second hat trick came in a 5-3 Ducks win over the New York Islanders on December 21, 2013. Getzlaf is the Ducks all-time leader in games played, assists, and points.

Getzlaf was also a member of the Ducks team that won the 2007 Stanley Cup.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist, Getzlaf represented the Ducks at the 2008, 2009 and 2015 NHL All-Star Games. He won a gold medal for Canada at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
