Emma Roberts Married Cody John At His Family’s Sun Valley Estate
Roberts comes from an acting family, being the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and niece of Julia Roberts. She started her career at a young age, starring in the Nickelodeon series, Unfabulous. Since then, she has made a name for herself in various roles, including the FX anthology horror series American Horror Story and the Fox comedy horror series Scream Queens.
Recently, Roberts tied the knot with actor Cody John. The two had started dating in 2022. Back in July 2024, she announced their engagement on Instagram. The two celebrated their wedding on July 25, 2026, at John’s Sun Valley, Idaho, family estate.
During the big event, Roberts could be seen donning two custom looks from designer Monique Lhuillier. As shared by Vogue, one of the two outfits was a black ensemble. Described as a “boudoir saloon” two-piece, it included a bespoke Chantilly lace strapless corset and silk organza ruffled skirt.
Roberts Showed Off A Few Different Looks At Her Wedding, Making Sure To Add Her Personal Touch To Both
Wearing it after the ceremony, Roberts explained, “I love the idea of wearing black for the afterparty.” She added, “We love doing something that’s a little unexpected. This looks like it could be totally vintage from 100 years ago, or from now.”
According to People, a press release from Monique Lhuillier revealed that the reception dress was inspired by the house’s fall 2004 RTW collection. It read, “The corset pairs seamlessly with a custom, tea-length, hand-cut skirt made of layered noir silk organza. The effortless movement of the organza layers creates an atmosphere of pure whimsy and fantasy, designed to move beautifully as the bride celebrates into the night.”
The main wedding dress did sport a lighter look. However, the actress made sure to add her own personal touch to it as well. It was created by dipping 25 yards of pink fabric into ecru for a vintage “tea-stained effect.” The house dubbed the custom shade, “Vintage Rose,” in honor of the star’s middle name. It was also decorated with a removable shawl featuring ecru French lace, a silk tulle veil, and a lace voilette. Reportedly, the outfit took nine months to develop.
