Enzo Fernandez’s 30-yard strike has put Chelsea ahead against Tottenham in a crunch Premier League clash.
Spurs started the match brightly, pressing the hosts and controlling possession at Stamford Bridge.
They nearly took the lead through Mathys Tel, who struck the post with a header after meeting an inviting ball in from Pedro Porro at the back post.
It would prove to be a wasted opportunity, with Chelsea taking the lead not long after.
Finding space near the edge of the Tottenham box, the Argentina midfielder tried his luck, and hit the back of the net with a strike from distance.
It looked as though goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky could have done better, with the Spurs keeper failing to judge the flight of the ball.
Now, Spurs must find a way back into the contest if they are to confirm their Premier League survival tonight.
