A former prominent CNN news anchor is begging the network to fire Scott Jennings. He has gone off the rails lately, and it is coming to a point where he could be causing more harm than good. Keep reading for more details on who wants him out.

Scott Jennings has quite a resume, so it is not like he does not have the background to back up any of his arguments. The 48-year-old Princeton, Kentucky, native worked for President George W. Bush. He served as the special assistant to the president and deputy director of political affairs in 2006. Prior to that, Scott had worked to help and re-elect former President Bush, so he had been an ally in the political sphere. He then began working in the political sphere as a commentator after Bush’s term ended, appearing on Fox News and, now, CNN.
Recently, he got into a battle with MeidasTouch influencer Adam Mockler. This caused shockwaves for all watching, and now, former CNN news anchor Jim Acosta is calling for Scott Jennings to be fired. He has not been with the network since January 2025, so does he hold any weight? On May 1st, he spoke out on his self-named series and had this to say:
“It’s appalling and it’s a fireable offense. I think he should be fired. I’ve been saying for some time he should be fired.”
Jim was referencing how Scott cursed at Adam while on-air and did not hold back. It seems that the former CNN news anchor has felt this way for some time and has wanted Scott gone. However, this was likely the last straw:
“He’s been getting away with this crap for so long. I mean, they should just hand him his boxes today and tell him to get the hell out.”
It seems that many followers agreed that Scott Jennings needed to exit and fast, as he was ruining the network.

After Jim Acosta demanded that Scott Jennings be fired from CNN, followers immediately agreed. They felt that he was bringing down the network and bringing nothing to the table. Moreover, some stopped watching because of him:
- Jennings is a horrible reporter. He is very rude, obnoxious and extremely argumentative in a very bad way. He should be fired!
- I don’t watch CNN anymore because of him. Just flat out don’t care for the “…..”
- High time this disgusting fool is fired
