Dean Geyer Has Been On A Number Of Shows, Including Australian Idol, Neighbours, & Glee
Geyer is a South African-Australian actor and singer who first became known after appearing on the third season of Australian Idol in 2006, finishing third. Working as an actor, he later appeared in the Australian soap opera, Neighbours, as Ty Harper.
Moving to the United States, Geyer later appeared in shows like Glee and Terra Nova. Continuing to appear in reality television, he also competed on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, as well as continuing to pursue music.
Recently, it’s been announced that Geyer will be joining the cast of General Hospital. In fact, the actor could recently be spotted in videos of a party celebrated the soap’s 16,000th episode.
According to TV Insider, Geyer will play the role of “Tristan Roberts.” This is reportedly a nod to the late Tristan Rogers, who played the Aussie spy Robert Scorpio on the soap.
The Celebration Video Teased A Few Things Fans Can Expect On Upcoming Episodes Of General Hospital
Rogers passed away in 2025 at the age of 79. In addition to his work with General Hospital, he also portrayed Colin Atkinson on The Young and the Restless.
At this time, not much is known about Geyer’s character, though some fans suspect that the character could have a connection to Robert Scorpio. There had previously been speculation that the show will address Scorpio’s fate in light of Rogers’ passing. Fans are also wondering if Geyer will get to keep his native accent for the part.
Ultimately, fans will simply have to stay tuned in to the soap to see what happens next. As Geyer could be seen filming for General Hospital during the recent celebration video, it’s likely fans will see him make his Port Charles debut very soon. If he doesn’t appear this month, he will likely appear on the soap this upcoming July.
The recent celebration video also teased a few things fans can expect in upcoming episodes of the soap. This included the return of Steve Burton and that actress Kayden Brenna Tokarski would be joining the soap as an aged up Scout Cain.
