Tiger Woods has been arrested after being involved in a car crash in Florida, with police claiming he showed signs of impairment at the scene.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek confirmed that neither Woods nor the driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries. Woods was able to exit his Land Rover by crawling out of the passenger side following the incident.
The crash occurred near Woods’ residence, with the 50-year-old attempting to overtake a pressure cleaning truck on a two-lane road but clipped the trailer while trying to avoid a collision.
Officers at the scene reported that Woods appeared impaired. A breathalyser test returned a negative result, but he declined to provide a urine sample.

What has Tiger Woods been charged with?
Woods has been charged with driving under the influence with property damage, as well as refusal to submit to a lawful test.
The incident comes during a period in which Woods has been working his way back from injury. The 15-time major champion recently returned to action earlier this week, competing in the TGL finals after more than a year away from competition.
He has spent recent months recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon and a further back operation in October, and had been considering a return to the PGA Tour at The Masters, which begins in April.
Woods last appeared on the PGA Tour in July 2024, when he missed the cut at The Open Championship at Royal Troon.
This latest crash follows a serious accident in 2021 near Los Angeles, where Woods suffered major leg injuries after his vehicle rolled multiple times.
He later required extensive surgery, including the insertion of rods, screws and pins, and spent several weeks in hospital during his recovery.
