In 2021, Heather married HGTV star Tarek El Moussa, with the two later sharing a son. Together, they appear in The Flipping El Moussas. Heather also appears on The Flip Off and Flipping 101.
Recently, Heather took to social media to discuss an upsetting incident. This past Tuesday, she shared a post on Instagram stories, reading, “Disgusted by some of the cruel, heartless people in this world. Tarek and I feel violated, and, to be honest, really sad. Taking a break for a few days and will [be] back to explain soon. We are safe & the kids are safe.”
Newport Beach Police Responded To A Report From The Couple’s Newport Beach Mansion, With Sources Claiming High-Value Items Were Taken
Tarek was tagged in the post. In addition, he shared the same post on his own Instagram Stories. While the message didn’t reveal much of the situation, reports later came out that the couple’s multimillion dollar Newport Beach mansion was burglarized while they were out of town.
According to TMZ, Newport Beach Police officers responded to the El Moussa home around 5:40 PM local time on Monday following a burglary call. Sources told the outlet that the two were on vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico, when the incident took place.

Sources familiar with the situation claimed that several high-value items were taken from the residence. However, it’s currently unclear just what was taken and how much it was worth.
As the outlet noted, the situation is believed to still be under investigation. Local authorities are trying to uncover how the burglars got inside, as well as what they made off with. A source has also since spoken with People, suggesting a connection with the story and the couple’s posts, sharing, “The issue was at their house while they were away on vacation.”
