Kim Kardashian has recalled the horrific robbery she experienced while she was in Paris for Fashion Week. Now, she has forgiven the men who were a part of the nightmare event and is asking for next to nothing in damages. Keep reading for more on what the mogul is requesting.
Kim Kardashian Is Putting The Robbery Behind Her
It was October 2016 when Kim Kardashian was in Paris for Fashion Week when her life was forever changed. The reality star and mogul was at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, which is billed as a private apartment, when she was robbed at gunpoint. She was bound, gagged, tied up, and a gun was pointed at her. This was the work of five men, who walked away with around $10 million worth of jewelry. As it turned out, eight people were ultimately responsible for what had happened to Kim. She has been dealing with this for a long time, but now, she is having her say.
She has had her barrister, Léonor Hennerick, request next to nothing when it came to damages. Kim wants eighty-seven pence, which, when translated to American dollars, is a little over a dollar. The main men have all been released from prison, and Kim, 45, seems okay with what has transpired. Furthermore, she had this to say:
“I forgive you for what has taken place, but it doesn’t change the emotion and the feelings and the trauma the way my life is forever changed.”
She does not need the money, so that was not a factor. It seems Kim Kardashian just wants to move on with her life and does not care if she gets millions. Moreover, she likely knows that “the grandpa robbers” are not worth all that much at this point.
Some criticized Kim for flaunting her jewels and showing what she brings on her travels. It is as if she is welcoming trouble. However, the mother of four did not think she would make it through the robbery and that her life was over.
Sympathy For Kim
When Kim Kardashian gave her testimony regarding the robbery, it brought many to tears. Even those who did not care for her were brokenhearted hearing her recall what had happened:
- Kim is problematic all day but the interview where she says “they tied me up on the bed and I though ‘this is it. They are going to rape me. I can get through that as long as they done kill me. I won’t fight I’ll just get through it’” is so unbearably sad.
- Yeah I can’t imagine, I cried watching her talk about it. So scary and not even being able to understand what they’re yelling or saying
- No one should have to go through that. This is the one and only time I’ll feel any sympathy for anyone in that family.
