The Kitchener Rangers remain undefeated at the 2026 Memorial Cup in Kelowna, British Columbia. On Monday night at Prospera Place, the Ontario Hockey League champion Rangers defeated the Western Hockey League champion Everett Silvertips 6-2 to improve their record to two wins and zero losses.
Cameron Reid of Aylmer, Ontario, a left-handed shooting defenseman and Kitchener team captain led the Rangers in scoring with four points as he had one goal and three assists. Reid is a first round pick, 21st overall, by the Nashville Predators in the 2025 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Four more Rangers players had a multi-point game. Jack Pridham of Stouffville, Ontario had two goals, Cameron Arquette of Wheatley, Ontario, and Gabriel Chiarot of Hamilton, Ontario each had one goal and one assist for two points, and defenseman Matthew Andonovski of Markham, Ontario had two assists. The other Rangers goal scorer was Christian Humphreys.
The Rangers’s first win of the 2026 Memorial Cup came on Friday to open the tournament. They blanked the Kelowna Rockets 5-0. Kitchener can now clinch first place in the round robin with a win on Tuesday against the QMJHL champion Chicoutimi Sagueneens. The Silvertips fell to one win and one loss with the loss, and have the same record as Chicoutimi.
