Liverpool’s summer plans have been thrown into chaos with Michael Edwards, the CEO of Football at Fenway Sports Group (FSG), leaving the role.
FSG own Liverpool, alongside Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox, and they say Edwards has “overseen Liverpool’s football operation” since returning to the company in March 2024.
According to FSG, Edwards’ departure is part of a planned transition but it comes at an inopportune time with the transfer market set to come alive as the World Cup nears its conclusion.
