Season 8 of Love Island USA premiered on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, and fans were ready and raring to go. There was drama before the show even started, but it hit the ground running. A Twist Leaves Fans On A Cliffhanger
Before Season 8 of Love Island USA began, there was drama. One Islander, Vasana Montgomery, was sent packing. Footage of her singing racial slurs resurfaced, and although she was in the promo for the new season, the network opted to have her exit. This is not the first time that this has happened, and it likely will not be the last. Then, Sean Reifel was called out by the Bethlehem Mayor for ditching his job as a cop for the show despite him boasting about his profession and his love for it. Now, the first episode has aired, and there are some twists and turns.
The first was that fans were looking for Gabriel Vasconcelos, who was initially a part of the core cast. He was seen in the promo, but he did not walk in with the men. Yet, he was not let go from the show, either.

As it turned out, he was introduced as a bombshell at the end of the premiere. This was because Vasana Montgomery was removed from the villa, and production needed balance. So, they changed his status from OG to bombshell. However, he entered Love Island USA with Kayda Bosse and a shocking twist.
The cast had coupled up, but they were given the chance to blindly leave their partner. That was when Gabriel and Kayda came in, and after kissing the ones who were ready to explore, they took the new “singles” away.
The Twist Gets Juicier
After Gabriel and Kayda took the singles away, Love Island USA host Ariana Madix pointed out that some of the cast were missing. They had been taken to a private area, and it seems that they will explore their connections with the bombshells. Gabriel took Beatriz Hatz and Trinity Tatum, while Kayda took Zach Georgiou and Bryce Dettloff. At the end of Wednesday’s episode, one or two people, or maybe more, may be sent home from Fiji. There will be a lot of tears when the girls realize their men are gone, especially if they wanted to keep pursuing a romance.
