Love Island USA Season 7 welcomed Huda Mustafa, who shocked her co-stars when she revealed that she was a mother. She shares a five-year-old daughter, Arleigh, with her ex, but she did not want to make a big deal about it. Now, with Season 8 set to begin on June 2nd, a new cast is arriving, and with that comes another parent. This one is embroiled in a bitter custody battle, but what is going on? Keep reading for more details.
Another Love Island USA Parent
When cast members and bombshells head to Fiji for Love Island USA, they want to have fun. The goal is to party, sit in the sun, work out, hook up, and maybe fall in love. None of them has come into the villa with children or such obligations back home. However, in Season 7, Huda Mustafa changed the game when she revealed she was a mother. Her villamates were stunned by this revelation and could not believe she had a child, yet they accepted it all the same. Now, the new season is set to begin, and a new parent has entered the villa.
The Season 8 cast was revealed, and one male is a cop, Sean Reifel, who is a part of the Bethlehem Police Department. He has a son, Ravello, with his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Santiago, who is an influencer and a nurse. Sean had filed a custody complaint against Nicole in January 2025, and ultimately, it was sealed. However, both parents were granted “the right to make major decisions on behalf of the child, including but not limited to decisions concerning medical, religious, and educational issues, and issues concerning school-related extracurricular activities.”

Sean initially resided in California but was granted 3 out of every 10 days to be with Ravello. The Love Island USA star has since moved. As aforementioned, he is now a police officer but is off for filming. The twenty-nine-year-old seems immensely proud of his son and of being a father. One rule that has been enforced is that neither he nor his ex can say anything negative about the other.
Already Drama
There has already been drama at the villa. Love Island USA cast member Vasana Montgomery was kicked off ahead of the premiere. Old videos of her singing along with a racial slur resurfaced, and that was enough to end her time. She is already in the show promo, but that does not matter. It will be interesting to see who replaces her, but for now, there is a lot of chatter going on. Hopefully, Sean Reifel shows that he is a good guy and is welcomed as a father. Finally, it would be nice if his ex supports him on this journey.
Are you excited to see Sean, and do you think having a child on the show is a problem? Let us know and watch Love Island USA on June 2nd only on Peacock.
