We’re back on the iconic red chairs at the 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where we sat down with Danish director Mads Mengel to discuss his Crystal Globe Competition debut, The Guest. The helmer spoke about developing these complex characters with the actors, portraying mental illness without easy answers, or even the proper vocabulary to talk about it, and also shared a few words about the next project he is developing with his co-writer, Christian Bengtson.
