Season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County just premiered on July 9th, 2026. It brought back all of the cast members from the season prior, plus the OG of the OC, Vicki Gunvalson. Jennifer Pedranti, who joined in Season 17, was also back with her many children and fiancé, Ryan Boyajian. Unfortunately, off-camera, the RHOC star is dealing with something very serious involving her son and fire.
Jennifer Pedranti’s Son Starts Fire
After Jennifer Pedranti started on RHOC, her life changed tremendously. She and her husband, Will, split, and their lavish lifestyle ceased as he lost his job working for her family. Jenn was working as a yoga instructor in her own studio, barely making ends meet. She could no longer afford her bills, and had no idea that her ex- husband was not paying his portion of the rent. Jenn and their five children were evicted, so she moved in with her then-boyfriend, Ryan Boyajian. He had a sketchy past and present, so that also came crashing down.
Finally, she and Ryan became engaged, her kids began to settle into his home, and she thought her life was getting somewhat better. Unfortunately, tragedy struck as her youngest son and friends started a near-fatal fire in Ladera Ranch. It went down on Tuesday, July 7th, before 5 pm near Narrow Canyon Road and Acaster Way. The fire was below three acres, but onlookers have claimed that it could have taken out a whole neighborhood:
“Jenn’s son was involved in starting these fires, which almost burnt down the neighborhood.”
The RHOC star released a statement via her social media to clarify what happened. She noted that she and her ex-husband are not sitting on this incident and their son will pay for what he has done.
Fans who read what happened were shocked and believed that these kids needed to pay a harsh penalty. They could have seriously injured someone or even themselves and needed to learn that:
- They could have burned acres upon acres and all they get is fire safety courses?!!!?! The parents should be charged and or fined
Punishment Is Key
RHOC fans were hopeful that Jennifer Pedranti and her ex did not sleep on punishing their son. This was something serious, and he needed to see that. However, she has been very lenient in the past, and the hope was that she would change for this incident. Jenn is known to be passive and turn the other cheek, but in this case, she can’t be like that. Many shared their thoughts on how this needed to be handled, but mostly how much they could not stand Jenn:
- Well, as much as it pains me, Tamarat was on to something, this b*tch is more worried about riding Ryan then raising children.
- The fire issue is serious especially in California. The whole neighborhood could have gone. Aside from that, there’s just something I don’t like about Pedranti. Potty mouth and everything.
- Your kid has serious issues. Get off of reality tv and parent all of your kids.
