Mandy Moore Has 2 Sons & 1 Daughter
Since she was a teenager, Mandy Moore has been hot on the scene as a singer. She had smash hits such as “Candy” and “I Wanna Be with You.” Yet, she soon moved on to acting and starred in hit films, A Walk to Remember and Tangled, just to name a few. Her star stayed solid when she was cast in the television series, This Is Us, which ran for six seasons. It was critically-acclaimed and reignited the flame that was Mandy Moore. In 2009, she married musician Ryan Adams, but that ended in 2016. Two years later, she tied the knot with Taylor Goldsmith, and they welcomed their first son in 2021.
Their second son joined the family in 2022, and they welcomed a daughter in 2024. However, while she was in labor with one of the three, her doctor gave her an unforgettable experience. She shared the details with her former This Is Us co-stars, Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan, on their show’s podcast. The 42-year-old explained that while she was delivering, her doctor pulled out his phone and caught him doomscrolling:
“I remember directly looking at him, and he was on his phone, scrolling, like, on CNN.com.”
Although it was her labor and delivery moment, Mandy could not help but feel like she was putting him out:
“I’ll never forget. I was like, ‘Am I bothering you?’”
It did not end there. Apparently, there was a lobster truck that her doctor was desperate to hit up. Yet, Mandy Moore’s labor was taking so long that he did not think he would make it. Clearly, his priorities were very off.
Mandy could not help but feel bad about putting the doctor out, which she admitted was very on brand for her.
Speak Up
Sterling K. Brown felt that Mandy Moore should have spoken up at that time. Fans of the Nashua, New Hampshire native and the podcast agreed and believed that she should have immediately changed doctors:
- So change your Doctor if you think he is rude. They are no different than anyone else. For the amount of money they make they can at least add kind and polite to their job description.
- Yeah, maybe a lot of other women don’t make it back home to their families exactly because of this behavior by Doctors!
This is a horrible experience, and the fact that she felt the need to apologize shows what kind of person Mandy Moore is. However, she has a unique story to tell, and hopefully, she made it clear after the fact that this was unacceptable.
