Motorola is introducing another foldable device to its Razr line, but this time around, it’s a book-style foldable.
The Motorola Razr Fold, as it is known, is not a completely new design; it was shown off at both CES and MWC.
Despite competition from both Samsung and Google, the Razr Fold can hold its own in the display department. Its 6.6-inch exterior display sports a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits, while its 8.1-inch internal display just edges out the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Razr Fold also has a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery — larger than both the Pixel Fold and Z Fold 7 — with 80-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging.
Looking under the hood, so to speak, the Razr Fold sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage, which, honestly, I’m happy with. This wasn’t known when we looked at the device back in early January.
If you’re curious about the rest of the Razr lineup, it includes the Razr Ultra, Razr+, and then the base Razr.
The device can also be used with the Moto Pen Ultra, which, in my opinion, could be extremely useful for note-taking or other portable artistic uses.
The device is priced at US$1,900 (about C$2,581), which is fairly steep, but also might be worth it if you are in the market for a foldable device. When asked about Canadian pricing and availability, Motorola said to “stay tuned.”
