Film and music will collide with box office-dominating director James Cameron teaming up with Grammy award-winning musician Billie Eilish to bring BILLIE EILISH – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) to the big screen. A new trailer has just dropped for the upcoming 3D concert film, which Cameron and Eilish also produced together.
“Captured during her sold-out world tour, BILLIE EILISH – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR brings an innovative new concert experience to the big screen from one of the most celebrated and successful artists of her generation,” reads the synopsis.
This tour was Eilish’s seventh tour to support her album of the same name, her third album following Happier Than Ever and When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. The singer also has two EPs, titled Don’t Smile at Me and Guitar Songs.
This will be Eilish’s second concert film following Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, which was directed by Robert Rodriguez and Patrick Osborne. The film was an exclusive Disney+ release and received a nomination for Best Austin Film at the 2021 Austin Film Critics Association Awards, in addition to a Grammy award for Best Music Film and an MTV music video award for Best Longform Video.
Eilish has received two Academy Award wins for Best Original Song for a film: No Time to Die for No Time to Die and What Was I Made For? for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie, both of which also earned her Golden Globe wins. She also has 10 Grammys from 34 nominations.
Meanwhile, Cameron is the industry’s second-highest-grossing filmmaker, with a worldwide gross of $10 billion, and has three Academy Award wins from seven nominations. He has also won four Golden Globes and two Primetime Emmy awards.
BILLIE EILISH – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR comes to cinemas on the 8th May.
