This is Tour Diary, where artists give us a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road. Last spring, DeathbyRomy released her debut album, HOLLYWOOD FOREVER, chronicling the formative decade she spent growing up alongside her music career — detailing the loss of innocence, resilience, and the experiences that shaped her. The LP is a testament to how far she’scome, and the hard work that is paying off.
While she was in the middle of making up shows that she postponed due to illness, she got a request from Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit. After seeing a TikTok of her and her band performing, he invited DeathbyRomy to open up for them across Europe, which ended up being the biggest crowds of her career, including more than 21,000 people in a single night.

And despite making a trip to a German emergency room after breaking her wrist, the run became one of the most memorable chapters of her career. “Opening up for Fred and the band was one of my favorite experiences I’ve ever had as an opening act,” she says. “We were shown so much love, support, and respect by everyone. Us girls were in our element.” See for yourself below.

Sad pitstop at a carousel that had unfortunately just closed in Brighton on the coastline… This was right before my first show ever there. We were very fortunate to have a little bit of time to walk around the lanes and have a nice meal before the show. / Maytal Etehad

Immediately after getting offstage in Madrid, I heard this really sweet voice, screaming my name, and I ran up to meet her and thank her for coming to see me
I was overwhelmed with love and at how many people came to these massive shows just to see me. / Maytal Etehad

Meet and great post-show in Madrid. The energy at this concert was the most insane, and the love I felt during, and after, was so real. / Maytal Etehad

Did not mean to take “Break Stuff” this literally… This was me around midnight at the emergency room in Germany because I broke my wrist earlier that day at one of those gas station strength measuring machines… / Maytal Etehad
