Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City will likely release the promo in the next month or so. Fans are chomping at the bit to see their favorite Utah ladies again. However, this season of RHOSLC will be unlike any other given the passing of Robert Cosby Jr. Keep reading for more details on what to expect.
Robert Cosby Jr. Passed The Night Before Filming
RHOSLC fans know that Mary Cosby has been dealing with her son Robert’s addiction for quite some time. It has taken a toll on her, but she never stopped loving him and never gave up on him no matter what he did. They even had a candid conversation, which cameras caught. It made viewers respect Mary even more as a mother. Sadly, he lost his battle on February 23rd, 2023. Robert was only 23 at the time, and it rocked everyone’s world. At the same time, filming for Season 7 of Salt Lake was set to begin the following day.
Lisa Barlow opened up about what viewers should expect and shared that this season will be so different. The tone is obviously far more somber as they are dealing with a massive loss:
“It was the hardest thing to experience. It was a bonding moment for sure.”
Regardless of how the women feel about each other, they are all mothers. Therefore, watching one of their own have to bury a child is the most heartbreaking thing ever. Lisa admitted that the news led her to cry “all night,” but she shared that Mary is doing phenomenal:
“I think when you have such a strong relationship with God, it can get you through anything.”
Since Robert died the night before filming began for Season 7 of RHOSLC, Lisa Barlow made one thing clear: the season is very different.
Lisa had previously stated that it is more family-centered, which fans were not so thrilled about. However, it may make sense once the show begins.
Fans Are Not Ready
Knowing what happened ahead of filming the new season of RHOSLC, fans do not know if they can watch. They understand that this is real life, but it is going to be incredibly hard to see the aftermath of Mary Cosby’s son’s death. The cameras were not allowed at the funeral, but details are likely not omitted. Therefore, this could be a hit-or-miss year:
- I honestly don’t know if I can handle the new season
- The tone sounds dark & dreary. I am not interested in watching this season.
- I am one of the few who loves it when the ladies bond and come together .
The news was so sad, and I cant imagine it happening right before they had to start filming. Mary is so strong.
