Brooke Hogan is back on reality television with the hit HGTV series Rock the Block, and she is teamed up with Scott McGillivray. Rumors have flown that the two are romantically linked, but she totally gets it. Now, she is opening up as to why they have gotten so close and incredibly fast at that. Brooke Hogan Immediately Adored Scott
From the moment that Brooke Hogan was paired up with Scott McGillivray for the current season of Rock the Block, she adored him. There was something so special about the jack of all trades that she gravitated toward. He is known as a real estate investor, entrepreneur, author, and television host. Most notably, HGTV fans may recognize him from the series Vacation House Rules and Buyers Bootcamp. They tackled their first challenge in Season 7 and won, which was a huge accomplishment.
Despite both being married, rumors flew that the two were being unfaithful. Brooke immediately cleared the air, but she understands why people may have believed otherwise. She and Scott were close from the jump, but it all makes sense. According to Brooke, Scott is very fatherly, and she has a “daddy complex.” She was estranged from her dad, the late wrestler, Hulk Hogan, for two years before he passed in 2025. However, Scott has a good essence:
“I’m sure a lot of people watching us will think that there’s something going on. But really the affection I have for him is a mixture of things. There’s a little bit of like a daddy complex happening here where I feel safe and protected by you, and I trust you and you give good advice. And, you know, his hugs feel like a dad hug, you know?”
They do appear flirtatious on Rock the Block, but Brooke Hogan has been married since 2022 to Steven Oleksy. The two have twins, while Scott married his wife, Sabrina, in 2008, and they have two daughters. Scott and Steven seem to have a good bond, as well, and fans are rooting for him and Brooke to win.
A Great Team
Brooke Hogan having a “daddy complex” may pay off as Rock the Block viewers seem to love her and Scott McGillivray together. Moreover, some think the two need their own show together and are pleading with HGTV:
