Rogers is changing up its 5G wireless plans, adding some new features, including a five-year price lock and ‘Priority Network Access’ for customers on the company’s priciest plan.
In an announcement, the carrier boasted of its “fastest 5G+ speeds,” with plans offering up to 2Gbps data speeds, as well as its expanded satellite coverage, which now includes the U.S. through a partnership with T-Mobile.
The biggest change, however, is the introduction of a price lock and Priority Network Access. With the price lock, Rogers is following in the footsteps of Telus, which started offering its own price lock in July 2025, and Freedom Mobile, which has long offered a ‘Price Freeze Promise’ to customers.
However, Rogers is only offering the price guarantee on its most expensive ‘Ultimate’ plan. Per the fine print on the company’s website, the price lock applies to the Ultimate plan’s monthly price “before any taxes, fees, and bill credits.” Given the Big Three carriers’ penchant for jacking up people’s rates, the price lock will likely be a popular option, though Rogers’ price lock isn’t quite as good as Freedom’s, which does not expire as long as customers keep an eligible plan.
Alongside the price lock, those who subscribe to Rogers’ Ultimate plan will get Priority Network Access. Rogers explains the feature like this on its website:
“Get front of the line access and our fastest speeds available, even during peak times with your Ultimate plan. Plans with Priority Network Access will receive higher prioritization resulting in an enhanced, relative experience. Applies to data usage on the Rogers network, subject to the Mobile Plans Data Policy.”
Rogers told MobileSyrup that Priority Network Access would not limit or reduce network performance for customers on other, non-Ultimate Rogers plans, Fido customers, or for customers with other carriers that use Rogers’ network (like MVNOs). Instead, the carrier clarified that “in moments of high traffic, customers with this feature get access to our fastest speeds.”
Rogers plans as of April 21, 2026.
At the time of writing, Rogers had the following plans listed on its website:
- 5G Lite – $60/60GB Canada-wide.
- 5G+ Essentials – $65/100GB Canada-wide w/ data, talk, text in U.S. and Mexico for 12 months.
- 5G+ Popular – $80 unlimited data w/ data, talk, text in U.S., Mexico, and Caribbean for 24 months.
- 5G+ Ultimate – $95 unlimited talk, text, data in 64 destinations.
All the above plans include discounts for using autopay, varying degrees of access to Rogers Satellite, Canada-wide calling and texting, and other benefits. Depending on which plan you go with, you can get benefits like discounted access to Rogers StreamSaver, or on the more expensive options, things like a free year of Uber One. Most of these benefits aren’t new, and have been available with Rogers plans for months.
