Shaquille O’Neal has a long history with basketball, whether it be from his time on the court or as a sports analyst. Naturally, he seems like a good source when needing someone to weigh in on the game. However, during one recent encounter with a reporter, O’Neal seemed to be a little distracted when asked about the Los Angeles Lakers.
Shaquille O’Neal Has Played With A Number Of Teams, From The Los Angeles Lakers To The Boston Celtics
O’Neal is a former professional basketball player. After playing with the Orlando Magic, he was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers. Other teams he’s been on include the Miami Heat, the Phoenix Suns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics.
Following this, O’Neal has pursued other ventures. Notably, he has served as a sports analyst on Inside the NBA.
Recently, the Lakers became a topic of discussion with the playoffs around the corner and the search for this year’s Cinderella story. A TMZ reporter recently spoke with O’Neal about how he sees the current situation. This was especially in regard to injuries to Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves.
However, O’Neal decided to take things in another direction. He could be heard telling the reporter, “You’re the best-looking TMZ girl I’ve ever seen in my life.”
At One Point, O’Neal Even Appeared To Turn The Camera Around
The former pro told the network to keep his interviewer on the payroll. He continued, “Hey, TMZ, keep this girl. Hey, TMZ, this is the best-looking TMZ girl ever. Oh my God, she’s hot!”
Although the interaction seemed generally lighthearted at the start, the reporter still wanted to steer the conversation back to basketball. However, Shaq seemingly wanted to continue with his flirty comments. At one point, he appeared to grab the camera and turn it to the reporter, so the rest of the world could see what he saw.

Still, the reporter remained persistent in getting some basketball-related answer. O’Neal eventually briefly added that the Lakers’ superstar would “be back.” He also felt “they’re fine.”
TMZ shared the interview on social media. Taking to X, they captioned it, “Shaquille O’Neal flirts with our TMZ photographer as she attempted to ask some questions.”
The encounter is believed to have taken place in New York. According to Basketball Network, the reporter was identified as Seleah Simone, who was said to have nearly 15,000 followers on Instagram. The outlet mused that her following might increase since this recent news story.
