Sharon Osbourne took charge of Ozzy Osbourne’s career when he was fired from Black Sabbath. She helped him carve out his legacy, but her career almost took a different path. She recently shared a shocking detail about her life and career before she met the legendary rocker. Keep reading to find out more about her past.
Ozzfest To Resume After Ozzy’s Death
Before Coachella became the go-to summer festival, there was Ozzfest. Created by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne in 1996, the festival featured some of rock’s most famous bands. But there was also a smaller, second stage dedicated to spotlighting up-and-coming rockers. Ozzfest was an annual event until 2018, when Ozzy’s health began to decline.
The goth legend passed away on July 22, 2025. Just weeks earlier, he performed his final show with Black Sabbath. According to Sharon Osbourne, Ozzfest returns in 2027 at the same venue where Ozzy performed for the last time.
“We want to do two days in Aston Villa and then come to America,” Sharon Osbourne said.
Sharon Osbourne Shares Shocking Detail About Life Before Ozzy
Sharon Osbourne has been sharing her grief on the Osbournes podcast. Her recent story left her son, Jack, in shock. She was more than just Ozzy Osbourne’s wife. Sharon became his manager in 1979 after he was fired from Black Sabbath.
However, she almost took another legendary rock band to stardom instead. Sharon Osbourne revealed that before she became Ozzy’s manager, she briefly managed Queen. Her time with the “Bohemian Rhapsody” band was only for a month before they found another manager.

“We had a party. We invited John Reid, who managed Elton John at the time. John was a friend of ours. He used to work at EMI, and he was a friend. And Freddie met John, John met Freddie. Love at first sight,” Sharon Osbourne told her shocked son.
However, there were no hard feelings. “What are you gonna do when both of your friends turn around to you and go, ‘We love you, but we love each other more?’ You go, ‘Go, go. Have fun.’ That was it,” she added.
John Reid was Queen’s manager from 1975 until 1978, when the band began to manage their own careers. Sharon Osbourne met Ozzy a year later and became his manager and, later, his wife.
Jack Osbourne wasn’t the only one surprised by his mother’s past. Fans took to the comments to react to the news.
