Shohei Ohtani struck out eight batters on the mound and tallied two hits and an RBI at the plate to lift the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

Mookie Betts went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run for Los Angeles, which completed a three-game road sweep against the Twins. Max Muncy finished 2-for-4 and drove in a run.

Ryan Kreidler had two RBIs to lead Minnesota at the plate. Victor Caratini and Tristan Gray finished with two hits apiece.

Ohtani (8-2) showcased his two-way skills in the win. The right-hander limited the Twins to three runs (two earned) on five hits over six innings, walking two and striking out eight. Even though he recorded a quality start, his ERA slightly increased to 1.58.

Twins right-hander Joe Ryan (5-4) gave up four runs on eight hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out nine.

The Dodgers started the scoring in the top of the second inning. Betts batted leadoff and worked the count full before belting a solo homer to left-center field.

The Twins grabbed a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second.

Caratini, Brooks Lee, and Gray each singled to load the bases with one out for Kreidler. Dodgers catcher Dalton Rushing gave up a passed ball that allowed Caratini to score and the other runners to move over to second and third.

Moments later, Kreidler delivered a two-run single to center.

The Dodgers regrouped with three runs in the top of the third to regain a 4-3 lead.

Ohtani helped himself at the plate to open the scoring in the third. He ripped an RBI single to center to slice the Dodgers’ deficit to 3-2.

Four batters later, Los Angeles evened the score at 3 on Muncy’s RBI single to right. Alex Call followed up with a go-ahead sacrifice fly that scored Freddie Freeman.

Twins slugger Byron Buxton had an opportunity as the go-ahead run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth, but he struck out to end the game.
