Let me start by saying that Spandau Ballet’s “Gold” is one of my most beloved songs of the 80s and the 12 inch version one of my favourite maxi singles i own.The song was released back in 1983 and this week award-winning DJ, producer and broadcaster Majestic has released a brand-new remix of this iconic hit. His new take on “Gold” celebrates the song’s enduring status as one of Britain’s greatest sporting anthems.The remix arrives just in time for a summer of major sporting events, including the World Cup.But even so in a world where new music has a less quality status bringing back classics like this one is always a great opportunity for young people to discover the true “Gold”!!!
