Sunwing Vacations Group is advising that after a review of its summer program – for Sunwing Vacations, WestJet Vacations and Vacances WestJet Quebec – it will be extending the pause of its operations to Cuba for the 2026 summer season to include Varadero (VRA) and Cayo Coco (CCC).

At this time, all operations in Cuba have been cancelled from June 20, 2026, through Oct. 9, 2026 (inclusive) for all gateways/airports.

Sunwing Vacations Group continues to offer convenient flight options from key gateways across Canada to a wide range of popular sun destinations across Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America

Starting in early May 2026, guests can enjoy seamless access to top vacation hotspots including Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Punta Cana, Montego Bay and more.

Services to Varadero (VRA) and Cayo Coco (CCC) will resume as scheduled on Oct. 10, 2026. Service to Holguin (HOG), Santa Clara (SNU), Cayo Largo (CYO) and Cienfuegos (CFG) will resume on Oct. 25, 2026.

Customers with upcoming vacations to Cuba

All impacted bookings will be contacted through regular ARCC notifications with available options.

    Group bookings

For customers booked as a group, Group Sales Representatives will be in touch to review options.

The company said that it will continue to closely monitor the situation and will provide you with further updates as they become available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
