Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth’s time on Survivor 50 recently came to an end. Since then, he has shared a message for his fans on social media. Towards the end, he also began to tease what could be next for him.
Fans First Met Ozzy Lusth When He Appeared On Survivor: Cook Islands
Lusth made his debut in the Survivor franchise after appearing on Survivor: Cook Islands in 2006. He ultimately ended up the season’s runner-up.
Over the years, Lusth appeared on other seasons, including Micronesia, South Pacific, and Game Changers. In 2026, he joined Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.
However, fans recently saw Lusth’s time on the show come to an end once again. After being voted out in the second tribal council in the 11th episode, he ultimately finished in the season’s 8th place, with him failing to play his idol.
Following this, Lusth took to social media to send a message to his fans. Looking back at his time with the show, he shared, “Twenty years. Five seasons. One castaway who somehow still can’t play an idol to save his life.”
Lusth continued, “From my first confessional in the Cook Islands to my last one in Season 50, you’ve been there for all of it — the highs, the heartbreaks, and yes, the two times I got sent home with an immunity idol burning a hole in mi undies. I’d like to say I learned my lesson the first time.” However, he felt he “needed one more multimillion-dollar lesson in trusting your gut.”
Lusth Also Touched On All That He Thought He Gained From Being On The Show
Despite this, Lusth still felt that he had progressed in some ways thanks to his time on the show. He felt he had gone from “Jungle boy to jungle MAN! The game has a way of doing that to you.”
As he continued, Lusth also felt that being on the show gave him a few things, including “a community, a purpose, and a gratitude I don’t have words big enough for.” Sharing he thanks to both “fans” and “haters,” he felt they both helped “complete” him.
Towards the end, Lusth mused that his time on the show might have come to an end, but this might not be the last they’ve seen of him. He added, “The jungle isn’t going anywhere. Neither am I. More on that very soon.”
The implication was not lost on those following Lusth’s post. Fellow Survivor alum Ethan Zohn notably wrote in the comments, “See you on Survivor 60.”
