The annual tradition of Cannes head honcho Thierry Frémaux sitting at a little table at the front of a Parisian cinema and reading out his print out of titles with some soft rambling between each drop has happened for the 2026 edition of the festival. We’ve of course been combing through all the prediction articles to get a sense of what might make the cut, and to be honest, aside from a couple of last-minute surprises, Frémaux stuck to the script, with new works by Paweł Pawlikowski, Pedro Almodóvar, Ira Sachs and Nicolas Winding Refn all announced. (Though Refn, shockingly, will not be presenting his lipsmacking return to feature filmmaking, Her Private Hell, in competition!). Here’s our at-a-glance list of all the titles announced so far, transcribed from the announcement, with the promise of more to come in the next few weeks. Do take a peek and let us know what you’re excited for.
