President Donald Trump is often a topic of discussion on The View. While this has certainly become more pronounced during his political career, this was even the case before his presidency. Recently, however, one co-host has voiced her issues with this: Joy Behar.
Joy Behar’s Comments Came Out Shortly After A Politician Served As A Special Guest On The View
Joy Behar was one of the original co-hosts on The View in 1997. After briefly departing in 2013, and continuing to appear as a guest host, she eventually made her official return in 2015.
Politics have especially been on the minds of the long-running show’s cast and crew, as Vice President JD Vance made an appearance on the show. This made him the third sitting U.S. vice president to appear on the show.
On June 17, the day after Vance’s appearance, he and President Donald Trump were discussed during the show’s “Hot Topic.” The co-hosts were discussing the deal the two reportedly made with Iran to stop the war. While details are unclear, it will reportedly include a multi-billion-dollar restoration fund to help Iran repair itself from the aftermath of U.S. attacks.
Another One Of Behar’s Co-Hosts Is Also Known For Not Wanting To Talk About Trump On The Show
As Behar weighed in, she expressed exhaustion over talking about Trump. As she shared, “I’m so tired of Donald Trump. I can barely even talk about him anymore.”
Behar continued, “I am so sick of his stupidity, of his dishonor, the way he talks about people, the way he presents himself to the children out in the world, the way he curses and swears about people, the fact that he’s so incompetent at what he does, the fact that these Republicans stick by him no matter what, the fact that he’s risked so much from the American people.”
Behar was also critical of the deal. As she shared, “Where is this Iranian deal? Is it with his college transcripts that we never saw or his tax returns that we never saw? Why are Americans putting up with this?!”
Notably, Behar isn’t the only co-host on The View who is known to have shown exasperation over talking about President Donald Trump. Whoopi Goldberg famously avoids using his name on the show. Beyond a few slip-ups, or times when saying his name is relevant to the news, she normally addresses him as “You Know Who.”
